WELCOME TO THE WELLNESS JOURNAL.
If you've found your way to The Liminal Space Wellness, you're probably someone who is curious. Curious about yourself, about healing, about what lies beneath the surface of the patterns and feelings you carry. Someone who senses there is more to explore than what conventional approaches have offered, and who is open to the idea that the body holds more wisdom than we've been taught to believe.
This journal is for you.
What This Space Is.
The Wellness Journal is a place to go deeper. This is where I get to share the thinking, the research, the philosophy, and the personal reflections that inform everything I do at The Liminal Space Wellness.
Here you'll find:
Explainers and deep dives into the modalities I work with — Somatic Healing, Breathwork, Spinal Energetics, Kundalini Activation, Energy Healing, Meditation and more — written in plain language for people who are curious but new to this work.
The science and the ancient wisdom behind body-based healing, nervous system regulation, and why working with the body creates change that thinking alone often can't.
Practical tools and practices you can bring into your own life between sessions or as a starting point on your healing journey.
Honest reflections on what healing actually looks and feels like — not the polished highlight reel, but the real, non-linear, sometimes messy and always worthwhile process of coming home to yourself.
Answers to the questions I get asked most often — by clients, by people considering booking, and by people who are simply trying to understand themselves better.
Why I'm Writing This.
I spent years looking for answers. Reading everything I could get my hands on, seeing practitioner after practitioner, trying to understand why I felt the way I felt and what I could do about it. That searching eventually led me here — to this work, to this practice, and to a deep belief that the body is not something to be managed or overridden, but listened to, befriended, and trusted.
What I wish I'd had during those years was someone who could explain things clearly. Who could bridge the gap between the clinical and the spiritual, the ancient and the evidence-based, the intellectual understanding and the felt experience. Someone who could say — this is what's happening in your nervous system, this is why it matters, and this is what we can do about it.
That's what I want this journal to be.
A Note on How I Write.
I believe that wellness information should be accessible. You shouldn't need a psychology degree or a yoga teacher training to understand how your nervous system works or why trauma lives in the body. I'll always aim to write in a way that meets you where you are — whether you're completely new to this world or already well along your own path.
And because I believe healing is as much art as science, you'll find a mix here of the evidence-based and the intuitive, the practical and the poetic. That balance is intentional — it reflects how I work, and how I believe we actually heal.
I'm so glad you're here. Pull up a chair, make yourself a cup of tea, and stay a while.
With warmth,
Steph
