Like the caterpillar entering the chrysalis, this is a space of profound change, even when the shape of what is to come is not yet visible. In this pause between what has been and what is becoming, deep healing unfolds quietly beneath the surface.
Though it may look like stillness from the outside, within, an extraordinary alchemy is at work. Old layers soften, protective masks unravel, and the essence of who you truly are begins to shine through.
Just as the caterpillar surrenders to the unknown to emerge as a butterfly, this tender in-between invites you to release what was, create space for what will be, and trust in the beauty waiting on the other side.
In The Liminal Space, you are invited to soften into the process, trust the wisdom of your body, and allow your wholeness to take form. In time, you emerge transformed — ready to take flight as the fullest expression of yourself.
CROSSING THE THRESHOLD.
The word liminal comes from the Latin limen, meaning “threshold.” It was popularized in the early 20th century by French anthropologist Arnold van Gennep, who used it to describe the in-between stage in rites of passage.
In many traditional cultures, significant life transitions—such as coming of age, marriage, having a baby, midlife, or grieving a death—were marked by rituals with three stages:
Separation — leaving behind an old identity that no longer fits.
Liminality — the “in-between” phase.
Incorporation — stepping into a new role, a whole new identity.
During the liminal stage, people were no longer who they had been, yet not quite who they were becoming. One identity had been shed, but the new one had not yet fully formed. It was a time of uncertainty, but also of deep potential for transformation.
This ancient understanding of transition continues to resonate today, reminding us of the importance of pausing, of unbecoming, and consciously reshaping ourselves into the more authentic version of ourselves who we need to become to thrive in the next chapter of our lives.
The Liminal Space is the transitional healing phase between who you have been and who you are becoming.
It is not an ending or a beginning, but a sacred pause in between, where the old gently dissolves and the new quietly takes root.
In this safe space, you begin to gently notice the patterns and coping strategies that once kept you safe, but now hold you back from being the best version of yourself.
You recognise the limiting beliefs that have kept you stuck in repetitive cycles, rather than creating the life you want to be living.
Through this process, you begin to let go of what is misaligned, rewire your brain, and reconnect with the version of yourself that feels the most authentic, whole and alive.
It is a space of possibility, where new ways of being take shape and new pathways open before you.

I offer private Somatic therapy and Energy Healing one-on-one sessions in Ripponlea, in Melbourne’s inner South East suburbs. I also offer virtual sessions hosted through Zoom for clients who live further away.
I host group wellness events and retreats around Melbourne regularly.
